Recently sold by Delta 98 Den Haag, The Hague, The Netherlands

an antique, late 18th Century, full round carved wooden statue of 

Saint Anthony of Padua with the Holy Child Jesus,

with remains of gold on his decorated robe 

the condition, with missing parts and signs of candle burns, gave it an emotional appearance

it fitted so well in our house, combined with modern furniture, modern and tribal art from Africa and Indonesia, so we will miss it very much, now it has gone to a Californian collector
