Sold from the Delta 98 Den Haag collection: a beautiful issue of the magazin Wendingen

a collectors dream:

a near mint issue of the English edition
of the Dutch art deco magazin

Wendingen

this issue was published in 1921, and known as:
4 - 6 1921 Vorkink en Wormser, Landhuis te Oostvoorne

 so: year 4, no. 6
subject:
the country house 't Reigersnest of family Hudig
in Oostvoorne, Holland,
the softcover, english edition

the Dutch edition has a completly different lithografic cover,
designed by Jaap Gidding

the English and German editions have a cover of a woodblock print,
designed by H. A. van den Eijnde.
that design was also used for the 1920 issue, year 3, no.4,
about Josef Hoffmann, but that one was in orange instead of blue.

Because it is a woodblock print and in a near mint condition,
hardly touched through the years, if ever,
you can feel the paint on the surface,
as if it was made yesterday…..

Wonderful!
